Getalong Little Doxie

Dachshunds have more color & pattern combinations than any other breed that are registered with AKC.

Colors are Red, Black, Blue, Chocolate and Isabella.

Patterns are Dapple, Piebald, Brindle, Sable(long hair only), and Wildboar

They can also have points or be solid colored.

There are 3 coat types Smooth, Long and Wire.

Black 
can be your traditional black and tan or a solid black

Chocolate 
can be from a light milk chocolate to a deep dark chocolate and has a liver colored nose.

Red
can be from the lightest shade of cream to a deep dark mahogany red and can be true red to heavily shaded with any other color - they can have black, or liver colored noses.

Blue 
is the dilute of black and can be from a light silvery gray to deep dark slate gray - a true blue has a slate colored nose and NO black in the hairs 

Isabella 
is the dilute of chocolate and can be from a light light tan to deep dark mocha color - an isabella has a liver colored nose 

Dilute Red
can be from the lightest shade of cream to a deep dark mahogany red and can have be blue based or isabella based
